Shri Piyushji Goyal discussed on Pune – Gorakhpur train gave the application
for Pune Gorakhpur train needed on daily basis vai Varanasi and Lucknow. Piyush
Goyal listen the issue and assured they will work out asap with proper solution.
Amit Gupta said issue is pending from last
1998, but not a single leader has paid attention and took the issue seriously,
as Pune is hub for automobile and education where 15% to 20% of population is
from North India. Near about 5 lack of people are from Gorakhpur, Deoria, Kushinagar,
Padrona, Mau, Varanasi, Allahabad, Satna, Kanpur, Jhansi, Lucknow, Gonda,
Basti. Team has done survey at Pune Railway Station with passengers “Does this
Pune Gorakhpur Express train need on daily?” passengers over station has
supported with signature campaign not only passengers but local areas people
also supported the signature campaign in Pimpri Chinchwad (Bhosari, Dighi,
Alandi, Chakan, Moshi, Akurdi, Chinchwad, Pimpri) with 2500 peoples signature.
Passenger
get the tickets 4 months before but within 10 to 20 mins seats gets full and
most of passengers gets waiting tickets and some of them get tickets in
tatkal seva. In a boogie there are 72 seats but 250 to 300 passengers are
there in a single boogie. Most of women and children feel sick due to heavy
rush and uncomfortable journey. Most of people travel from Mumbai to Gorakhpur
if they don’t get ticket from Pune.
